You have just got to love a place that knows its limitations.  At FIVE GUYS they don’t serve baked fish or fried chicken.  If you want an omelet or salad then go somewhere else.  What they do is serve burgers and their one attempt at variety extends the menu to include hot dogs, but along with fries that’s about it in the food department.

FIVE GUYS cooks them when you order and not before.  As  you wait they provide free peanuts to dampen your hunger while they prepare your burger.  They have a sign posted that says they cook all of their burgers well done.  Now that’s all right with me and it tastes really good.

FIVE GUYS offers a wide variety of toppings for your burger and they don’t charge extra for any or all of them.  A partial list includes: the usual plus jalapeno peppers, relish, green peppers, and grilled onions.

A small burger costs $3.49 and a large is $4.59.  You don’t have to worry about spending the family fortune however since the bacon cheeseburger at $5.99 is the most expensive item on the menu.

They serve really good fries cooked in peanut oil and in addition to ketchup they provide malt vinegar to enhance the taste.

The décor, if you really need décor in a burger joint, is colorful.  Their art work consists of rave reviews from a variety of magazines where FIVE GUYS has a franchise.  The two drink stations allow you to fill your cups with little or no waiting.

The key for me is always would I return.  The answer is absolutely yes.  If you want a good burger this is the place for you.
